Deliverable D6.2 reports on the work carried out within Task 6.2: Design and development of the user ad-aptation module. The User adaptation (UA) module is a significant module in PRESEMT, the goal of which is to automatically collect the user’s post-processing decisions and feed them back into the sys-tem, so as to allow the platform adaptation to the user requirements and/or preferences. User adaptation is a challenging task influenced by several parameters that are not all fully technical. Several high-level decisions must be taken so as to enable a solid design and implementation process. The UA module within PRESEMT is designed and implemented taking effectiveness, simplicity and secu-rity into consideration. The document provides information on the general adaptation philosophy followed by PRESEMT and describes the key design decisions. Implementation and integration details are also provided regarding the core implementation issues and the interface of the UA modules with other key modules of the PRESEMT system, such as the Post-processing module, the Structure selection module and the Transla-tion equivalent selection module.
